About Me

Singing "Tell Me" at the 2011 GALA with Justin (guitar), and (l-r) Mike, Harvey, Joel, and Adam

My name is Peter Bodnarchuk. I grew up in small town Saskatchewan in a musical family. I originally played the bass guitar but over time I found that this no longer suited who I had grown into, so I began to explore the guitar and voice. To this end I have completed a B. of Music as well as a M. of Mus. degree, focusing on voice and composition. I have also received a Saskatchewan Arts Board Grant for a musical composition entitled "18 pictures + 2 adjustments for the ghost of charity" and am currently performing in Aluminum Cherry (a male/female duet of voice, guitar, percussion and, piano). This is very exciting for me! I am finding a whole new world of opportunities has begun to open up for me both in teaching (at the Conservatory here in Regina) and in performing as well.

As far as my current education goes, I have just completed (December 2011) my B. of Arts Ed. After Degree program where I have made so many cherished friends and acquintences. Our Arts Ed. group showcased our various artistic talents in the GALA earlier this year. This was part of our class trip fundraiser which took all 29 Arts Ed (soon to be graduates) to New York City in February. A better time could not be had! So much excitement and memories (great food, great dancing, great conversation). :)
